These photographs were taken at the June 2006 meeting
of the Southern Highlands Region.
At that meeting, Sam Shakouri from the
Macarthur Region, was the guest demonstrator. Sam demonstrated how he
assembles then turns his complex hollow globes. The one demonstrated will
be a soccer ball, but he also does world atlas globes, rugby balls and
other spheres.
Show and Tell had a theme of 'bowls with holes', so a
display of bowls with natural, carved and accidental holes in a variety of
woods is shown.
