The weekend of 2nd & 3rd of September 2000 saw the Southern Highlands Region members take part in a large fair organised by the Historic Village of Burrawang . This fair was primarily run in an effort to raise funds for Cancer Research, and it was attended by a large variety of stalls displaying and selling all types of arts and crafts, splendidly presented and all of high quality work.

The weekend started very windy and cold and our spirits were soon warmed when it became obvious, that the fair was to become very popular with the crowds. Our stand was well received and patronised. The State Governor His Excellency Gordon Samuels opened the fair Saturday afternoon and this helped in drawing a large crowd to the fair.

Thank you to all of our members who assisted with stand and helped in making the weekend a great success.
